GDAX doesn't list IOTA just so you're aware/to avoid disappointment. It's on Binance and Bitfinex.

I'd say there's more pessimistic "it's a bubble" people out there than optimists who want to go all-in. There are newspaper headlines like "Economists issue warning about Bitcoin bubble" etc.

People want to see Bitcoin fail and all the ballers go homeless. It makes better news, the economists can call it a bubble and we can all go home and say crypto was a scam.
The difference between now, and then is that crypto currencies were a very niche thing, and people did their research before throwing money into it. Now people can seamlessly buy crypto. Nobody gave a **** about litecoin until it was added to coinbase lol. Now all of a sudden people care about it.

And the money won't go into Altcoins when it does crash, if it does crash.

If BTC goes it sinks the entire ship because it is considered proof-of-concept for crypto is the face of it.

It's just like how years later, people still remember Mt. Gox and are fearful they'll lose their coins on exchanges, the general public just won't trust crypto investments again. It may still be used for clandestine sh*t like drugs, trafficking, money laundering, terrorism etc. but it won't bethismainstream again (if a crash actually does occur).

We are still in between the innovator and early adopter stages. There's a crapload of other things that have to burst before crypto does. Auto loans, student loans, housing market, bonds, the dollar are all in line to crash first.

If we're dead set on comparing to the dot com bubble, that was trillions nearly 20 years ago. Crypto is only in the billions. Add inflation and we still have a long fukking way to go.

I’m not sure I haven’t checked LTC. You can only exchange btc for iota right or am I wrong on that? I thought so to especially since I was only trying to move $10 worth of BTC. Maybe there was a minimum I didn’t notice or something. I was attempting it on my phone.

I kinda figured that might be the case but why not show it at zero or something? Regardless, bought 350. We shall see what happens in a year or two fuk it.

The marketcap does not have to be anywhere near a trillion for a collapse.

We are not in the innovator and early adopter stage either. Maybe 5 years ago. Coinbase is the number 1 app in the app store lol. So much for being early.

To dampen the FUD, here's a great Fred Wilson (venture capitalist) quote (quoting his friend) re: the dot-com bubble:

"A friend of mine has a great line. He says'Nothing important has ever been built without irrational exuberance'. Meaning that you need some of this mania to cause investors to open up their pocketbooks and finance the building of the railroads or the automobile or aerospace industry or whatever. And in this case, much of the capital invested was lost, but also much of it was invested in a very high throughput backbone for the Internet, and lots of software that works, and databases and server structure. All that stuff has allowed what we have today, which has changed all our lives... that's what all this speculative mania built"

Early adoption would include platforms for use, and seeing it as a payment option or the ability to take your paycheck in crypto, buy a house, etc.

It only feels early, cause most of us play with altcoins. Bitcoin=Mainstream, Altcoins=Early. But a BTC crash also means Altcoin crash. =(

btw, BCash on the move again!
