We're in early brah. Each unit was first offered at $20. So $21 or $22 is still an amazing price in my opinion. Plus each unit contains 1/9 of a warrant (goes up to 1/3 of a unit if hold through merger). Not even available yet on Robinhood. Webull offered it, but then forced all their customers to sell their shares because they "incorrectly allowed trading".

Yeah it's two years, but many are expecting Ackman to be moving very quickly for this merger.

Where did you see this news? Seeing nothing on the option chain for GRAF.

Another random question- I don't think there are that many institutional buyers of SPAC companies. Would institutional interest drive up interest in Velodyne or BFI once the merge is complete and the legitimate company name is on the ticker? I haven't watched Nikola or any other spacs post merge to see what happens.

This is a good questions, theoretically you'd think it would, having institutional ownership rather than robinhood flip floppers. Does BFI have any stakeholders like Velodyne does I kind of lost track of them when I sold out of opes.

I don't believe so unless they might have a loan or something from a company, but I don't recall that they have much in the way of equity partners.

I wish I knew when Graf was gonna merge. Looks like the warrants are currently worth $1 more than they are currently trading at, but don't wanna get caught up in the slow grind down.

Truthfully I haven't even looked in over a week but I'd imagine I'm down in the neighborhood of 30% not including the 6K I made off the warrants earlier in July.

Neat.

Cliffs(updating as I listen in the background)
2021 growth

In Flordia (where they already have a solid footing) new store growth anticipating:
30 corporate new stores
20 franchisee stores

Ghost kitchens:
25-30 new kitchens by end of 2021 (Texas, West coast, and Chicago delivery markets)

i got blown out of the water by CFFA today. This is the biggest L I've taken trading so far, what a damn shame. Not sure whether to hold as it Grosvenor, which is a solid company but not memeable, or to just sell and to take the loss and move on.

This is what I am struggling with. I've listened to conference calls and the people at BurgerFi have obviously done their homework as they've been looking at going public for 2 years or so. They'd have a fairly strong team joining them with Ophir from Lionheart which operates a lot of retail locations including hotels so there could definitely be some strong synergy there. There is a strong desire to reach "the next level" from both sides I believe.

On the other hand it is yet another burger joint that admittedly is in a fairly over saturated market. There is the whole coronavirus thing that is wrecking the entire restaurant industry which is going to affected them WORSE than others because their idea is sit down more than anything else. They lack drive through and delivery isn't probably ideal either. They do have beer which is nice for their margins and such, but again not really helpful for people getting food delivered/to-go.

I think I am going to try buying more warrants in hopes of breaking even down the road. I'm not certain how profitable my current warrant holdings are that I've got at an average price of $4.7 ayy fuking lmao. I do think they will have fairly stable growth relative to its restaurant peers and once virus concerns ease in 2021 it could easily grow significantly enough to earn a $30 valuation. Luckily they seem to have priced the entire company fairly low out the gates as I think the combined company is going to have a market cap of $100 million which isn't too terrifying and if/when they are profitable should make it fairly easy to keep P/E respectable.

Like I've said before I've got very small holdings with 150 warrants currently. I think tomorrow I'll buy 300 if I can get them at or below $1.50 to drop my average cost to around $2.50 per warrant. I really have a hard time deciding if I am throwing good money at bad and if it would be better to just leave what I've got and hope for better later or if I should just go for it and hope I catch a pump and can sell out profitably on news.

Yeah and apparently everyone (shareholders who called in) on the entire call was unmuted so it was a constant stream of a computer voice saying "joined the chat" and people swearing and talking. Not a great look for the opes management team that they couldn't even pull off a teleconference lol.

Should finally start seeing movement now that the Q3 SPACs are likely within 4-6 weeks of merging. Been boring as hell the last few weeks, still pissed I miss timed my buy in by a day but cest la vie.
