There was really really bizzare move that just happened before close.

Feb 12th puts IV all exploded to 140+ percent

check TSLA 600P / 650P / 550P. 2/12 expiry.

600P contracts went from 0.35 per contract to 2.5 per in last 10 minutes.

I wonder if someone knows something.

I'll probably end up riding it out. It's my last exposure, outside of my long holds, with TSLA, and even if it gets assigned (cost basis would be $800), I would be chill with wheeling it. Between S&P, ARK, and Blackrock, it will have solid support.

Tesla announces pause in production line due to shortage in chips like every other car company is doing.

They must be affected too.

Tesla doesn't make its own chips. They all use tier suppliers.

My port fluctuates dramatically as Im heavily weighted in TSLA. 20K swing in a month is not uncommon.

My main goal is income and I target 2 - 2.5K a week with relatively conservative plays. Same plays every week. Open on Monday morning and close them Friday afternoon or let them expire.

Up 8-900% now since April, realized gains YTD 2021 are around 60K but I have over 130K unrealized right now from a position I opened mid January. Started on dat dere poverty time though so account size isn't as impressive as it might sound like it should be.

Not much risk though Imo. I already collected like 12K this year in premiums off Pltr Ghiv(now uwmc) snap and some others

Pltr will be a risky one 30 strike for 300 premium per set. I browse Reddit thetagang daily discussion and find ideas also swaggy stocks posts weekly high IV but those can be dangerous

I’ve been assigned a few times on FSLY and DDOG when they were hovering in the 80s. I’ve sometimes just sold for a small loss or sold calls on immediately

I sometimes hold till expiry if I don’t have any ideas on new puts to sell. Really depends. My Pltr puts were 4000/4700 or so cleared and I think I closed and opened something new.

I paperhanded a Baba put that cost me $2600 last month if I held I’d have like 7k more in my acct. not always successful but I love selling puts

You might be interested in strangles for positions that are mooning. For instance STO on PLTR $45c/$50p. Check it out on OPC to see what it looks like as far as break evens. I’m gonna look into opening some in a couple stocks later today. Need to spend more time looking at IV

PLTR Feb12 36P x5

Will net 2400 this week if they all expire worthless. TSLA volatility dying down. But I think it will pick up in the next few weeks. If we pass 900 and stay above then very quick ride to 1K imo.

Last week BTC TWTR Feb05 53.50C and rolled to Feb12 57C for $30 loss. Ended the week +3K
