I’m pretty good at games on engineering.com

Does this mean I’d make a good engineer?

I don’t really want to go back to school, because of the debt tho.

And I’m nearly 30.

Greetings!

You likely have spatial intelligence and a high IQ. My daughter has pursued a STEM career, but despite her apparent intelligence, she also had her doubts about it. So she took an Official IQ test and found out she was above average. That convinced her to go for it!

In short, age is not that important. It won't be easy, but sometimes dedication is more important than a high IQ.
