Misc, Peep this 16 month leg progress. AMA

I must be doing something right misc. Spoiler, barbell squats aren't one of them. Happy AF with the progress I've made overall, but especially leg gains.

Typical leg day (warm up sets not counted). The banded hacks are the game changer imo. If you've never tried them you don't know what you're missing

A1. SEATED LEG CURL
3 sets, 6-10

B1. HEEL ELEVATED SAFETY BAR SQUATS or REVERSE BAND HACKS
2 sets, 5-8

C1. LYING LEG CURL
C2. HIP BANDED DB RDL
3 sets, 8-12

D1. BANDED LEG EXTENSION
3 sets, 8-15, last set 1 drop

Are your hams in proportion to your quads? If yes then that's cray.

Might be a dumb question but how much bigger do you want them?

In my opinion there is no better exercise for pure quad output. Great load profile and the bracing lets you just focus on output and allows you to safely take sets way farther than you could with a barbell.

The way I setup the bands takes off about 150 lbs at the bottom, but are completely slack at the top of the rep. So you're providing appropriate load through the entire ROM. Without the bands (or with a regular squat) your whole set is limited by the load you can tolerate at the bottom

Started doing them because of Hypertrophy Coach

They don't pop as much, but they're a work in progress. I start every leg workout with a hamstring movement first.

At this point, it's not a matter of wanting bigger legs, i just enjoy training them to be honest.

I still squat, just not traditional hip dominant barbell squats. On top of them not being the best for quads, they also wreck my left shoulder. I banged out 225x25 a few weeks ago tho

Oh fuk are calves on legs? See i have the upper leg, no the lower.....

I do 3-4 sets of seated calf raises with a drop set or two every 3-4 leg workouts to be honest. They're neglected along with abs

You're not gonna be able to show them off to the shoots though.

I think we need to go back to short shorts for men, but only if aesthetic legs

Are you flexing btw? Great progress

Yeah they look great. Almost not natty- that’s a compliment, not an accusation.

Any whole body pics? No homo

Fuk- just read thread and see that someone actually accused you.
It’s easier to build all types of muscles in your legs... I know because mine are muscular af and I have a muscle that I’ve only seen on one other person.
