Archer (Season 11)- *OFFICIAL Discussion Thread*

New season of Archer! Picking up from after the ending of season 7 in 2016 when Archer was shot and left for dead in the pool in Los Angeles. Show is back on track from the original storyline before the dreaming seasons started in season 8.
8 total episodes this season.

The first 2 episodes aired for the premiere for the 2020 season. Both episodes were good and funny!

The show has been on life support for as long as Archer has been. I may be wrong but I actually thought several years ago the shows writers or producer or someone even said they thought the story was done, or ready to be wrapped up, but then someone was like "no here's more money!" and he kept the show going even though he didn't really have anything to put forward lol. I think it shows.

Lost all interest after Season 7. Seasons 1-5 were gold, 6 and 7 were a bit spotty, and I literally couldn't even engage with S8, S9, and haven't looked at S10.

After actual ISIS came into being, that was a pretty steep decline in quality. The first girl to eat my ass loved archer, so watching it always reminds me of that, good times.

IMO Archer Vice was still a really strong season (season 5), but yeah after that it steadily goes downhill.

I stopped watching after season 7. It's becoming like the Simpsons at this point. At the top of the game for years, but it went on past its welcome. Looks like they're trying to recapture the magic. I might check it out, but my expectations aren't high.

I couldn't watch the last 2 seasons. Utter crap.

So far after the premier episodes has been kinda decent but kinda eh at the same time. Not amazing but holding up alright!

Episode 3: kinda boring, (stealing some suit thing)
Episode 4: was pretty decent, (robot Barry factory episode)
Episode 5: was ok but not that good, (Archer gets a new valet)
Episode 6: pretty good, best of the season other than the first episode (double date while tracking Russian hacker)

Hope the last 4 episodes end the second half strongly.

Season is finished...overall it was alright, better than last season and back on track with its original timeline.

episode 7- was alright (AJ gets kidnapped)
episode 8/finale- was alright (Antarctica episode)

Archer has officially been renewed for a 12th season in 2021 as well due to improved viewership!

I kinda lost interest after ISIS went down. Should I give it another go?

They stopped the "ISIS" agency at the start of season 6.
Season 7 is one of my personal favorite seasons as it has a really cool feel. They relocate to Los Angeles and start a private investigation firm and the visual animations/story is great in that season.

The next couple seasons are the "dreaming" seasons when they work gimmick seasons (while original timeline Archer is in a coma dreaming all the events)
Season 8 (Dreamland)= 1940s noir gimmick/vibe (I personally liked this a lot)
Season 9 (Danger Island)= late 1930s/early WW2 based (bad season imo, worst of all the whole show)
Season 10 (Archer: 1999)= Space themed season (it was decent)

And then this season of course season 11 when Archer awakens from his coma and re-adjusts to the original storyline.

I saw some of 7 and sampled a few dream ones. From what I saw, dreams were meh, but if we reality again I'll have something to watch
