Thanks brah. I speak Russian fluently, usually takes Russians themselves a few minutes to figure out I'm a foreigner-- okay maybe not minutes, but let's just say unless I am having a conversation with them they won't figure out I'm foreign. In the stores, coffeeshops, etc, I blend in pretty well.

I speak some French from uni, but otherwise I am not a languagecel and have a hard time just studying a language for the sake of. When I travel outside of Russia in the Baltics, Scandinavia, etc. phuck no I don't learn those languages. There's only like 3 million people who speak each one of them jfl.

Learned Russian on the go, knew some pleasantries when I came here but nothing substantive. There's some HTC-approved chicks here (Central Asian-- Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kirgizia, etc-- chicks for example are HTC as phuck) but for the most part yeah Russian chicks are on that LTC time. Eh, they do and they don't. As a foreigner you really get the phuckin' red carpet rolled out for you in some places-- esp if you're a tourist and don't speak Russian. With chicks, they phuckin love foreigners here. The culture is pretty conservative so when chicks need to coom, foreigners make the most sense for them because they don't get that social stigma from their circle of acquaintances. All that said though, you definitly do have to watch your back if you don't know the language and how the game is played-- cabbies will try to overcharge you, merchants on the street will try to overcharge you, your landlord will try to overcharge you, the government will try to overcharge you, etc. I took a train from one city to another and the employee at the train station who sold me the ticket spelled my surname wrong with Russian letters and when I was on the train they came up to me and tried to tell me because of that mistake I had to buy a totally new ticket (payment in cash only). Tried to tell them to phuck off and they were like, okay brah, gtfo the train in some chithole village at the next stop then.

So yeah sometimes you just have to play their ghey little game.

As for work-- I'm an ITcel brah. My company is 100% remote since COVID and all that chit, but even before that I was working remote. Seized the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and see the world a bit. I really like where I'm at because like I said in the video, it's basically a European city here but the societal values are little more in line with my own. Plus I'm close to anywhere I really want to go. Finland is a three-hour train ride away and Helsinki is a fun city. They've got a casino right in the middle of the center that's a lot of fun. Austria/Germany is like 4-5 hours on a plane. The Baltic countries (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia) are a 5 hour drive.
