bear just stole my fish

Went fishing with dad tonight.
Brought two nice walleye home
Was fileting first fish
Bear stole second fish off porch
I noticed and chased bear into the bush in my slippers
Bear dropped fish
Grabbed fish and finished my job

He's just a little fella. There was a big ol bastard kept coming by a few years ago.

Naw, yearling, maybe two. On his own.

Saw a mother and 3 cubs swimming across a channel a few weeks ago.

Was kind of wondering this but Hutrapper deals with nuisance bears so perhaps this is his self sustaining business model in which case, good job bear man

Fish carcasses away from the house aren't much of an issue. I always leave them well away from the house in the bush. Pretty natural, and I never leave anything on the porch. Him coming up on the porch is just investigating smellz. Just happened that I still had the fish there last night lol.


He's very wary which is good. There's a chance he will end up in my freezer, but not likely.

Duck carcasses and fish is welcomed by the bear, foxes and the odd raccoon.
