Anyone build any of their own gym equipment

This is what I’m most proud of srs . I needed storage racks for my bumper plates , and on Old Misc some kid had a pic of a 2 by 4 with a floor flange on it and a couple of small bumper plates , like a 5 and a 10 pound .
I’m like wft kid that’s genius.
Anyways I refined it bigly and came up with this version. First one was ok but I found the 45 pound was kind of a pain at the bottom , but because my first idea was to go numerically, it ended up on the bottom

So on 2.0 I redrilled the 2/6 and relocated it to the middle

Below is that 3/4” gas pipe that you screw into a thing called a black floor flange , kind of like what stripper poles use I was told . Anyways I had access to this industrial heat shrink that we used in the communication business, and covered the pipes so we’re no sharp edges

The first and second gen had a 2/4 on the top and bottom . But when I changed my weights to orange I took the one rack apart and bought a welder so I could make new brackets for the upper and lower sections . I think it looks much more refined . Some day I’ll get the other two done

Nope, it's just easier to buy premade parts/equipment on Amazon.

Thx bruh . I mentioned it b4 but I used to get sick AF far too often going to a public gym . Miss the camaraderie though. Had friend from work come over to use my gym once , and my neighbour’s daughter was visiting from England (hotter than fk srs ) and I gave her a tour and showed her how to use proper form on bench press squat etc. she’s 25 and has a body to die for lol . She was wearing a summer dress and looked quite spectacular. Guys are always simping for her hard AF .

Ideally that’s the way to go , plus it’s cheaper in a lot of cases . These bumper racks were kind of proprietary so I built them myself

sick af from what?

is this like your whole blue-light thing where you claim you're affected by things that could be deemed as dubious by others?
Faurk srs I had these flu’s that came with horrible fevers . I’d run out 0f sick pay and come to work ill AF . Coworkers were even saying like wtf you’re pitch white right now .
Srs I thought one time I was going to dieded for sure . Quit the public gym and wasn’t sick once in 9 years after that

i thought about making my own calf raise platform out of 2x4's. Just for fun. Probably cheaper to buy premade from amazon.

Ya here in Canada the price of steel is off the charts . Post covid the prices increased exponentially, just a fking ripoff imo .
I need to do some additions to my home built lat machine , but unfortunately the guy who owned the metal place just recently retired and I’m not sure if they still have their CNC plasma cutter , or if the new guy even knows how to use it , as I was going get some custom parts cut out .
