Do think people struggle more because of government or bad decisions?

Title.

A lot of people struggling trying to make ends meet, living check to check. A lot of blame on inflation, cost of housing, food, transportation, etc. But I wonder how many people are in their situation becuase of bad decisions?

In a democracy, bad government is a result of bad decisions

Mostly bad decisions, but not entirely.

True. I think the family you're born into matters more than government, at least in this country.

I think a lot of greed and corruption has led us to a bad place. Some things have been done out of necessity to facilitate so many people living on this planet. The people who live better are the ones that have the most control and the most resources. I do think that there’s something to be said about privilege and how not having any affects people. Like how does discomfort impact people? Probably a lot. Misc would hate me if I said everything I think so I should probably leave it at this. I do think things could be better but better looks different to a lot of people. Haha so maybe a consensus would be nice

Bad decisions 100%, if you are living in a 1st world country

I cringe at all these protesters, on both sides tbh (magas included) that blame the government parties as the reason for the struggles they have in their lives... The government wont fix your life, no President is going to come in and drastically have policies that will change the course of your life...

Put more energy in improving your situation, instead of attending rallies to help some guy get a nice comfy cushy government job.. maybe he'll throw some scraps off his table for you when he gets voted into office, most likely he wont, but even if he does, it will just be scraps...

it depends brah

it is true that getting ahead today is proving difficult for most

but earning potential in todays world is also not capped

young people need to adapt and embrace a new way of making a living, or even anyone stuck in the mud should look into making bank online, and put in the effort at all costs. youtube, ebooks, having a website with ads, lots of ways to make coin - on top of a job too

young people relying on uni and a 9-5 unless its in a serious profession - yeah good luck with that

the government enables bad decisions rather than forcing people to learn to stand on their own two feet

Bad decisions. It's not rocket surgery. Live within your means, be responsible, that's literally it. People make their lives hard by having kids they can't afford out of wedlock, by boxing themselves into low paying jobs because they don't want to sacrifice for a few years. Etc.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

. You’re talking about ways of living that not all people have access to. Not everyone has those role models. If someone watches their parents live a certain way then that’s all they know- at least until they learn otherwise. You say it’s not rocket science but it’s not that far off from being the case.
I know most people know the school to prison pipeline so I consider there to be other pipelines. They are formed by a lot of things- it doesn’t help anyone for that to not be acknowledged.
