I mean, how much effort was he really putting into NewMisc? Was it something that really needed to just be completely abandoned?

I get realizing it was a failure from an investment standpoint, but still his upkeep on the site was likely $100 per month, which I'm sure he was getting easily from Google Ads. It's not like the site required constant moderation. He could have just let it fizzle out.
