I should've had kids in my 20's

Even if I accidently got someone pregnant, that would still be better than having kids in your 40's or having no kids at all.

I could've had a child at my physical peak and grow up with them.

But I had to listen to the atheists (both right and left wing) tell me to "wait".

What a fool I am.

I also wish I had kids earlier. Mid to late 20s would have been more ideal. Oh well, have one now and another is planned. Mid 30 here. Still worth it.

I feel this way too sometimes. I was born when my parents were only 20 years old and honestly despite what society thinks, it was a beautiful thing. Our bond was stronger than most child-parent relationships because, in a sense, we grew up together. We understand each other on a deeper level than others I see.

Unfortunately being born to parents that young comes with another set of issues. They were immature and unprepared for the responsibility of raising a child. They split up before I was 2 years old and sadly I had to grow up in a fractured family. It was only as we got older (my early teens and their early-mid 30s) that things stabilized. Thank God I had great grandparents who helped take care of me, provided structure and the taught the valuable lessons of the old school.

But overall I feel grateful for having young parents.

Now I’m 29 and would consider this to be the absolute best time to have kids. I wish I had more money so I could become a father.

Same, one in late 30s and planning another one. Wish I were younger, but at the same time I'm so fkn happy I did.

I was always the type that didn't want kids and mocked parents that said "it's the best thing I've ever done" thinking their life must be simple and how it must suck to be tied down. I always thought it was cope. Having experienced it now, it's absolutely the best thing that's happened. I wish I had time for 3 more kids but I don't. At least my wife is younger.

Legit nothing better than to have my little snot nosed 1 year old toddle up to me for a hug.

This is a true aspect. If I had kids with my long term ex from my 20s, they would have grown up with divorced parents. Best that didn't happen.
