What are the chances Obnoxious Brutes goes down one day without notice?

This morning I tried loading the site and it gave me a server error. Could’ve been a problem with my connection but it made me nervous. I have PTSD from this happening twice before :(

Seems like we have a competent admin finally, I just wonder what’s the contingency plan?

Miscers are more connected than ever at this point. OG Misc going down was the real hit. I worry about people’s patience when it comes to constantly moving between platforms but the community is better prepared for it. We have rebounded fairly well from NewMisc.

That said, if allfather pulls the plug or even just turns out to be a homo and lets trolls and alts takeover the forum, I think the next iteration should be a bit more decentralized.

In a very backwards way you've gotta mire the commitment they must have had to go to the effort of DDOSing a site with barely double digit active users in the year of our lord two thousand and twenty five. All he had to do was reverse proxy using Cloudflare. I'm not sure it was actually DDOS, I think he just didn't want to pay for it anymore.
