I wish I could quit my job and just feed ducks by the pond

In the summertime obviously but I’m dreaming of better days in the distant future while I sit here at this cubicle.

-Wake up at 8am
-Cook some eggs
-Watch Fox News
-Check my investments
-Walk to the park
-Sit on a bench
-Feed ducks
-Go to the gym
-Come home by 3pm
-Do casual woodworking in my garage
-Eat a nice steak dinner
-Fall asleep watching old movies

This would be my perfect life srs.

Unless you can live off your investments or get on disability or something, the best you can do is work for a few years, then take a year or two off and live off savings, maybe cash in your 401K and live off credit, then bankrupt it all.

I do that sometimes.

what you can do is just get a little bit closer to that dream every year.

maybe you grind for 2 years save a lot of money and get some good investments going, then cut down your hours while still stacking savings.

You can retire to many a decent third world countries with just $300k.

My parents did this with about $150k liquid, a paid off home that was about $100k, and a paid off SUV.

My father has been able to grow their networth to about $800k since they retired in 2013.

Incorrect. First second and third world countries aren't even called that because of whether they're poor or not. There called that because of their affiliation during WW2.

Have you ever been outside of America?

Some old dude feeds the ducks at my local pond every day. Shows up with a huge back of whatever the fuck they eat.

Anyways they are completely desensitized to humans now so they don't even move out of the way when I'm riding thru on my electric skateboard. Every time I pass through I gotta try to shoo these fuckers outta the way.

Pic related, the actual ducks and pond.

This is actually true, but it takes balls to uproot everything. Some countries rent is like $300 and its a relatively nice areas.

The closest and easiest route right now is WFH or Hybrid. Op could feed ducks then, just bring a laptop and phone just in case. You're still working but not chained to a chair.
