Nick Shirley Goes to Congress

“Gov. [Tim] Walz has said that he’s been fighting fraud in Minnesota since 2019 and said the buck stops with him,” he later added. “How long would it take for you to notice $1 million leaving your bank account and not knowing where it was going?”

Estimates on how much taxpayer dollars were stolen vary, but it is generally thought to be over $1 billion, with former assistant US Attorney Joseph Thompson estimating last month that it was over $9 billion.Walz, who dropped his reelection bid amid the growing scandal, has publicly cast doubt on Thompson’s eye-bulging estimate.

A witness during the House GOP Judiciary Committee’s hearing on Minnesota fraud said he would trust professional journalists over influencer Nick Shirley’s video. During the questioning portion of the hearing, Georgia Democratic Congresswoman Lucy McBath asked Hedtler-Gaudette if he did a follow-up review of Shirley’s video on Minnesota fraud.

He responded by saying he looked into what journalists at CBS News and professional oversight practitioners in Minnesota did to try to counteract Shirley’s video. “They had a difficult time substantiating what Mr. Shirley was claiming to be true in his video when in fact they found countervailing evidence including having been provided security footage by one of the daycares of children being dropped off the day was supposedly there,” Hedtler-Gaudette said.

And the CBS "journalists" if you'll recall, simply called up a handful of Learing Centers and asked if they had any of dat dere fraud."No? Welp, looks like our work is done here!"

5-star thread.
Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Bro, I thought we got to the bottom of this after it was exposed that the Somalis were running their Learing Centers from 10pm to 4am? I'm sure none of the investigators, including Mr. Shirley, are willing to do a checkup after 10pm...
Hey Timmy, show us on the boy doll where the tampon goes...

I dunno dude... CBS was all over it Jack!.

CBS News' review also found dozens of citations related to safety, cleanliness, equipment, and staff training, among other violations, but there was no recorded evidence of fraud.CBS News visited and called several of the day care centers on Monday but received no responses.

See? They called and nobody answered the phone... No fraud. End of discussion.
