It's cool how as a single guy with no family or friends...

...you can just make stuff up about yourself because nobody really knows you to call you out on it

In the past year I've told people:

I'm single because I'm widowed (gets lots of sympathy)

I was an Olympic alternate rider for the equestrian team (nobody follows equestrian let alone who the alternate was who never actually rode in the Olympics)

I don't work because I don't have to because of royalties from my great grandfather having invented the @ sign

And similar stuff that are difficult to verify for no reason than just because
