Key Developments and Provisions
House Approval: The House passed the bill, with significant focus on requiring documents like passports or birth certificates, rather than just sworn statements.
Targeting Voter Rolls: The Act mandates that states frequently purge voter rolls of individuals suspected of being non-citizens.
Impact on Registration Methods: It would effectively end, or significantly alter, mail-in and online voter registration, as these methods do not allow for in-person document inspection.
Disenfranchisement Concerns: Research suggests that millions of eligible citizens, particularly those who have changed their names (e.g., married women) or lack easy access to birth certificates/passports, might be unable to register.
No Federal Funding: The legislation does not provide federal funds for states to implement these new, rigorous requirements, shifting the burden entirely to local, state-level administration.
The bill awaits further action in the Senate.

you need a marriage certificate is all.
the DMV knows what to do.
If they divorce they need a copy of the divorce agreement.
plenty of women have done this without issue.
or are the dems suggesting women are to dumb to figure out how to get ID also?
besides the ID requirements are based off the real id law which went into affect last may.
there is no reason why you wouldn't get a real id anyways.
my only question is cali and NY just hand out drivers licenses to illegals. like literally just give them to them. no permit test, no road test. just here you go.
when i got my real id to fly last yr i just walked in, paid the fee, took the pic and waited for them to mail it to me.
so are they going to follow the law?

From CNN, amazingly:
In a stunning blow to Democrats, 76% PERCENT of BLACK Americans want nationwide voter ID — in other words, the SAVE America Act
White voters: 85% want it
Latino voters: 82% want it
But, the democrats want to tell Blacks that they are too stupid to know this.
