When the misc came back I thought I would keep up the Xbox fan routine that people here knew me for, at least for a bit. Fact is a lot has changed since bodybuilding.com shut down the OG misc over a year ago. The truth is, I am no longer an Xbox fan. If anyone were to ask me what consoles I would recommend today, my answer would simply be PS5 Pro and Switch 2.

So some of you might be asking "how could this happen?" Well, Microsoft going full retard with Xbox is what happened. Me being a fan of Xbox back in the day was never an act, I was genuinely a fan of the platform and the games they were producing. I had my reasons and I simply stuck by my genuine thoughts and feelings regardless of how much hate that might have attracted. But that was then and this is now. Now, my Series X is a console where I only have a handful of games installed that could be considered AAA Xbox games. Most of my installed library, well that's become mostly AA games, older games that have been FPS boosted, and 360 classics. My PS5 Pro is now by far my primary console and where I buy all my games this gen if I can.

I just can't standby and support Microsoft or Xbox anymore. Windows 11 has been a disaster and my only Windows PC's now are running Windows 10. My current main desktop PC is a Mac Mini I bought last year. I used to be a mac guy back in the day but turned away from them for about the past decade, only to come back because I now consider Mac OS to be the vastly superior option. I have heard a saying that there's no bigger haters than people who used to be the biggest fans and that seems to be true because I honestly have a fuck Microsoft and Xbox attitude these days.

Everything they are doing with their pricing, hardware, services, and software lately has shown off how bad their leadership is right now. They used to make games that genuinely appealed to me, back when the PS4 was known for it's cinematic action games and walking simulators Xbox was pumping out numerous Forza games that genuinely appealed to my interests. Now, Forza Motorsport is dead due to how badly they fucked up the latest one, and Turn 10 isn't even recognizable anymore. In fact just about all of their development studios feel ruined by this point, and the games Microsoft has been producing lately have been failing to appeal to me at all.

I think Forza Horizon 6 is the one and only Xbox game I can give a shit about since the old misc closed and I am not even hyped about it, and I don't even think I will buy this one on Xbox when it releases. My plan is to wait for it to release on PS5 and buy it there. No doubt Sony isn't perfect, I have my complaints with them, but overall they are looking fantastic when I compare the two right now. Things are so bad over at Xbox that I not only downgraded my Xbox Game Pass to the basic entry level "Core" subscription after their latest price hikes, but that is about to expire and I am just going to let it expire, sticking to PS+ Essential and NSO Expansion for my only gaming subscriptions going forward.

So there you have it. Times change and people change, and that is definitely true for me when it comes to the gaming scene. I know when it comes to many of the regulars around here we have had our disagreements, even hated each other at times, but I consider that water under the bridge. I have moved on, and I would like to spend my time here being genuine, and I hope we can share our passion for video games together getting along. Lets bring this community back and make it better than ever.

I barely post on forums anymore, but gaming has always been a hobby of mine I enjoy talking about and this could be a fun place for that with just the right amount of activity. Thanks I guess lol. I am just no longer really a fan of anything today. I was originally a Sega fan back in the day and then I was really into Playstation during the PS1 and 2 eras. 360 PS3 era I was sort of split, it was also when I was in college so I just wasn't really as into the gaming scene back then. The PS4 One era is when I was geninely a fan of what Xbox was doing and getting tuned off from what Playstation was doing, which seemed to create a big divide between me and the type of people who were hanging out on most gaming forums at the time. All of that only seemed to transfer over into the early - mid period for this current PS5 Series era, it's like both platforms were just continuing what they started the gen before.

Now, this just feels like an odd period for the gaming and technology scene and a lot has been changing since the old misc shut down about a year and a half ago. Microsoft got sucked into the AI bubble along with most of big tech and Xbox took a steep nosedive, they jacked up their prices, ruined their studios, and I genuinely have no idea how anybody could be a fan of the brand today as a result. No joke just about all the people I have met who were fans of Xbox in recent years are in the same boat as me, even the Windows fans are fed up with today's Microsoft as well. It's like they're just throwing away the appeal of all their consumer products as they chase that AI bubble presence.

So that brings me to where I am today. I just honestly don't give a shit about any of the brands enough to argue with anyone about them. I like the PS5 Pro right now as a console but I am still not exactly a fan of the type of games Sony has been focused on, nor am I a fan of the decisions they have been making as a company. I have never really been a Nintendo fan but I have been buying their consoles since I was a kid and always seemed to enjoy them as a portable or secondary console. So it's like I simply have no reason to be fighting with gamers anymore. Divides always came about due to passion and it simply feels hard to be passionate about anything involving today's gaming industry. Even the PC scene has hit hard times due to the RAM and Windows 11 situation. This is just a weird time for technology.

As for me personally, I really disconnected from social media, like I honestly want to have nothing to do with that shit anymore. I am more focused on going out and doing things and just don't really have anything to do with online communities anymore. I guess all of this has really mellowed me out on the internet as a result. Who knows, hitting my late 30's might have something to do with it as well, hobbies are just not something I am going to be arguing with people anymore. Now I'm just doing my own things and I don't really give a shit about what anyone else has to say about it. Disconnecting from social media has made me realize how needless it is. It's like I went on the internet back in the day to get away from bullshit, but now I just want to get away from all the bullshit on the internet.

So now it's like I just want to relax and take it slow here. I've given up on gaming sites but I still enjoy video games and talking about them. Just don't expect me to be like my old self, I am honestly just trying to be a better me and focus on what really matters in life. Maybe it's the current events that changed me, maybe it's just me being in a different stage in life, but I think the change is for the better. I know we had our issues and drama around here but miscers are probably the only group of people I knew online that I still want to connect with. The rest is just old IRL friends I talk to once in a blue moon on Facebook/Insta and text. I am being genuine when I say I just want to get along with you guys and have friendly chats about shit if I am going to be active here.
