Washington DC is an incredible city (srs)
Politics aside, the city itself is truly mind blowing. GOAT aesthetics all around.
Every time I visit DC, the city never ceases to amaze me. Walking through our capital fills me with pride, not just of being an American, but being alive to experience this great civilization. This must be what it felt like to live through the peak of Rome.

I hate going into DC.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

I have family who lives outside of DC, and have gone into the city to party a couple times while visiting them. Never really had a good time. DC kinda sucks compared to any other city.

Alexandria is one of my favorite cities though. I stayed there last year and fuarrrk if I had the scratch I’d buy a place. Safe, clean, vibrant, historic. GREAT restaurants too.

Beyond the mall, I’ve found the city feels like a bunch of villages merged together which is cool.

DC also has the best designed subway system in America (better than NYC), plus scooters and bikes all over, so it’s easy AF to get around. The street culture almost feels like a less chaotic New York without the skyscrapers.

I love Merica especially suburbs, rural areas and countryside, but our cities blow cawk compared to even countries like Poland srs.
American nature and suburbs/countryside are nicer than Poland's, but Warsaw mogs just about any American city and that's not even the nicest city in Poland

Never been there. I have read Dan Brown's 'The Lost Symbol' where he writes (via his characters) about all the symbolism, architecture, culture and history of the city.
Of course there are going to be rougher parts of the city where tourists aren't going to visit.
