I almost feel bad for collegecells brb go in debt for worthless degree brb ai takes 90% of white collar jobs in 2026. Inb4 cope from dumbass out of touch boomers

nah I've been using the paid version of Claude and while it's very impressive there are still clear limitations. Vibe coding with it is like herding cats, it's quite lazy and never does exactly what you ask.

AI only generates an "average" result, and while that's good enough to write your book report on Napoleon, it's not enough for things requiring nuance, human judgement, or a human to sign off on it.

It also struggles with detail-oriented work and don't even get me started on work that involves proprietary data.

Im at that point where if I get let go, I'm done for good (which i want). (IT Security). But no end in sight for us yet. In 2+ yrs Ill be done anyways (early retire).
My kids have no college debt, I paid for it all, no loans. They do have decent jobs, but I could see them going away. They just live in one part of this house, so no bills, etc.
Even gave them both cars. An odd world, it is what it is..
