Are you going to church for Ash Wednesday?

Will you be going to mass and/or receiving ashes?

I’ve never done this before but my gf asked me if I wanted to go after work. Thinking about it but I dunno if it’s proper because I haven’t fasted or even thought about lent.

Is it a bunch of BS or is it worth doing?
