I usually do because any excuse to not work is worth it.
But this year I’ll be turning 30 and I’m srsly depressed about it, so I’m not gonna bother. Instead of celebrating turning 30, I will be mourning the loss of my 20s, my youth, my potential.

And 30 is still very very young. You haven't lost your potential at this point. You have many more years to improve your life.

I don't remember if I always took the day off when I was in my 20's but I've taken every one off since I started with my current company 12+ years ago. I also usually take my sons bday off.
