Do you sometimes take a day off work for your birthday?

I am considering it. A day of not having to deal with anything and just chill out.

But then I am losing a days pay

Just take off phaggot. If you can't afford to miss a days pay you're a broke bitch anyway so missing it doesn't change your ultimate life.

I usually do because any excuse to not work is worth it.

But this year I’ll be turning 30 and I’m srsly depressed about it, so I’m not gonna bother. Instead of celebrating turning 30, I will be mourning the loss of my 20s, my youth, my potential.

I felt like 25 was a little worse than 30. Because it was a quarter of a century. Not sure why that mattered to me but it did. lol

And 30 is still very very young. You haven't lost your potential at this point. You have many more years to improve your life.

I was going to say that a lot of women do, because I know my wife does. So there you have it. Verified.

Woohoo! I'm a verified woman! lol

I don't remember if I always took the day off when I was in my 20's but I've taken every one off since I started with my current company 12+ years ago. I also usually take my sons bday off.

If I make plans sure. Or if my bday is a friday/Monday I'll take off for the long weekend. Otherwise not really.
