Shovelled some snow , like only 2 inches deep . Now my forearms tendonitis is far worse lol , and that’s almost after 4 months of no working out.
Thinking of buying remote control drifting cars and building a track in the gym now , as I can’t see lifting weights for a few years at this rate.

I asked you this in another thread, but I think you missed it. Have you tried cortisone shots?

I have not, but in my conversations with a nurse practitioner that I train in the gym, she mentioned it.

Rest day for me.

I fluctuate in my dedication, but I'm on a good run lately. For the past 4 or 5 weeks I've gotten all of my 3 workouts per week in.

Das it.

I finally put all the pieces together and I’m on a 2 1/2 year run.

Nice. Lifting is about to get harder for me. There's a morning basketball group that plays Monday, Wednesday, Friday and my middle son is going to want me to start taking him again. Morning lifting has always been the best time for me to be consistent. Basketball Mon-Wed-Fri and lifting Tues-Thurs-Sat tends to run me down over time. Plus, I like taking weekends off.

Six months or so is about the best I've done for sustained, focused lifting. The last couple years basketball has been the biggest hurdle. I keep getting hurt and that throws off my lifting. I'm ready to be done, but my son loves it and he's too young (15 in a couple months) to go by himself. It's priceless time together, that he'll remember the rest of his life, so it's worth it.

Nothing wrong with that though. For sustainability, I think you ought to be doing something that you enjoy.

Personally, I’ve been lifting weights since I was 15. That was never my problem to do that consistently because that’s what I like to do.. It was maintaining the diet simultaneously that was the problem

Yeah, I used to love playing ball, I'm just getting to the point where I get injured too much and that sucks out a lot of the fun. On top of that, with age and injuries I'm getting less good, so it's just frustrating sometimes.

I took a hard fall in November and hurt my wrist and ankle. Couldn't lift or hike much for a couple months. Until then I figured I'd play a lot longer, but that sucked a lot of the fun out of it for me.
