Its already Monday, yet again. Do people just dronemaxx until retirement?
Don't get me wrong, I don’t mind working but this is ridiculous. Life feels like theatrical, like some sort of simulation. I know my old coworker is not staying a day after 65, he's long gone.

Stop coping like you don’t mind working. You do. It’s crushing your spirit, just as it would for any man. That’s normal.
Most people get trapped. They begin life with optimism, a sort of belief that anything is possible. Then they get beaten down by their failures and obligations to the point where they simply stop trying. The safest route is to be a good little wage cuck, put in your 40 years and retire when you’re old and sick. It’s a travesty.
We are in the prime of our lives, yet the majority of our energy gets spent on meaningless bullshit except for maybe 2-3 weeks a year.
What also pisses me the fuck off is how fast the weekend goes by. Being removed from the office environment for two days does wonders for my wellbeing. I cannot overstate how mentally and physically healing it is, but as soon as I start to feel like a human again, BOOM - it’s Sunday night and time to wageslave for another 5 days.
EOD was right.
I just want my life back.

Life is so fucking precious man and it can end at any moment. I watched my father throw his life down the drain, working 2-3 jobs at a time, constantly struggling. The hope was that it would pay off in the end. Then he had a stroke at 50 and now he’s got nothing to show for all of his hard work. He’ll likely be on disability indefinitely. I am petrified of suffering a similar fate srs.
The problem is a fundamental lack of purpose, not some immature yearning for my childhood (which wasn’t all that great).

I really like these guys and the autonomy so I work hard
I’m in sales so my job is about results and that’s all they give a shit about so corporate theatrics, politics, the illusion of being “busy” etc do not matter

It's all subjective. When I worked at a hospital from 2006-2012 it was 6 years of odd hours and getting called to come in at 6am after getting off work at 1am. But it was some great fuckin years because I had a ton of sex ( sometimes in the hospital) with nurses, secretaries, and some of the cleaning ladies who worked there. My nickname was Johnny Sins with hair.
