Yeah I just looked into it more and I’m going to up my breakfast protein. It’s between egg whites and whey protein powder. I might go the powder route because more cooking seems like I might give up in the AM lol

Looks pretty good actually, I'd eat it. I usually like my oatmeal a bit liquidy-er tho

I sometimes do this breakfast because i see it on youtube all the time.
But it really aint shit.
The peanutbutter and oats just get sticky in my mouth, theres no flavour. The banana becomes the best part of the meal. You know youre lacking in flavor when you anticipate a bite of a banana.
The micronutrients are also crap.
Just some potassium, tiny amount of omega 3 with too many omega 6s.

Its like a bodybuilders meal that doesnt know nutrition. "Oh well theres a banana in there thats healthy right?"
Same thing when people toss a avocado in their bacon and eggs and think theyre covered for the day
Theres nothing going on with it.
Not good enough flavour. Ass micronutrients. So what are we even getting on with this? Just a calorie bomb that doesnt taste good or offer good nutrient profile.

Anyway man.
I just dont like this particular meal. Its not you. Its me

3/10

But Instead of talking smack
Lets make this a better meal.

Instead of peanut butter we use walnut butter.
Add blueberries.
Add chiaseeds.

Now we have what came for with the fat source. Buck load Omega 3s, Micronutrients & Antioxidants.
And the taste remains the same, and even better with the blueberry.

Just using the walnut butter would be enough to make it a great breakfast.
Id also just add dash of milk in there. You cant go wrong with that.

Peanut butter isn't a complete protein, not enough methionine. Oats can help with that though.

The oats would make me fart for a couple days and the banana would kill me (allergy)

Overall I'd give it a 0/10

If you can afford it, this chit is the absolute fuking truth. Mix a scoop in with your oatmeal and you don't even need the peanut butter itself. Taste is legit spot on.

I am going to take your recommendations especially since I have chia seed already.

My grandfather is the healthiest person I know and he’s almost 100. He swears by a banana a day and he still lifts weights

I believe it. If you think about longetivity.
Most people have too much sodium compared to potassium. It puts you into a type of dehydration that causes all kinds of trouble long term.
So the high potassium in bananas definetly help.

The problem with bananas is that it's hard to control when they ripen so you'll have days when you don't have any ripe bananas or days with too many ripe bananas to eat and then they get soggy the next day. They also don't digest well.

I'm not saying that bananas are horrible or that you shouldn't eat them. Just that there's enough issues that prevent them from being a good idea as a staple food in your diet.
