I haven’t seen all of the LoTR movies to judge, but Back To The Future, Star Wars (original), The Dark Knight and The Godfather come to mind.

LOTR and it's not even close. It's a miracle we got such a based IP turned into such a based movie trilogy. It wouldn't happen today.
