If our gun laws had stayed more or less the same in regards to guns/mag sizes that can be owned by general civs (pre 1996), I don't think we would have an increased risk of kids taking guns to school here anyway.

It's the uneducated people in Australia that think that aspect (types of guns and mag capacities) of our gun laws is what prevents more major massacres occurring here.

Facts are there was not a lot of significant gun crime by legal gun owners beforehand vs now and it's more the requirements of owning guns/having a license that limits kids and people with violent tendencies from using them maliciously (IMO).
