Is it true that even ppl with master's degrees have a hard time getting a job at mcds

I keep seeing online how the job market is so cooked that even educated ppl need to fight tooth and nail for bum jobs . Is it just my algorithm or is this real life? Or is it just exaggerated clickbait or a bunch of whiny people who aren't struggling hard and just picky about which job they choose?

If I had a shit tier gоyslop restaurant, I would only hire unqualified idiots too. Anyone with a degree will quit soon or start complaining about the appalling conditions.

I have no understanding of how someone can go to years of post-secondary education and still have not acquired a skill well enough to be employable.

Usually though, you talk to these people for a little bit and you can figure it out.

If they were as desperate as they say they are, wouldn't they eventually accept reality and be a good **** worker? Sure i've heard the prejudice against these entitled educated workers but im sure most places would still hire them. These so called job searchers claim they have applied to hundreds a places and got rejected

definitely a real thing. It doesn't make sense for employers to train someone just for them to think they deserve better and leave 1 month into the job.

This. It’s not pertinent to the job. If anything it detracts. They’ve had a decade or better of education and experience in a whole different direction.

You need to be a blank slate to get in a fast food restaurant or have previous fast food or food service experience.

Personal gripe: Just because you’ve been educated to the moon and back doesn’t mean you’re intelligent or have common sense…Case in point my unemployed sister with a degree in chemistry and safety.

Huge if true

All my recent bad experiences at fast food places were with liberal employees that look educated. Example: I order on app then walk in and wait at the pickup area. Typically they just call the number and set it on the counter. But this new guy walks up to me in a condescending tone asking to show my order then starts questioning if it's a screenshot and has me move my screen up and down n shiet treating me like a criminal. I'm not stealing a $2 coffee just bring it out u dweeb lmao. Never saw him again. I'd imagine these ppl wont be able to last long at these places

It can happen very easily

Say you started computer science in 2020 when market was booming, logical choice right, then you just graduated now 2026 as you were working part time now the market is fucked and you have no real world experience.... Say you did most school online and didn't do any industry networking either. You are ultra fucked and better figure something out to start getting experienced or a few years goes by and you have employment gaps and to even get a job at Costco or whatever you're going to have to lie on your resume as you're overqualified and they know you will leave as soon as you find your "real" job

One of my favorite pizza.places.was ruined by zoomer employees. Used to be good now they either burn the bottom of it or one time they just never delivered my shit and I have to call them to cancel and refund it and that took forever because they are so stupid and have to ask the boss how to do it

Sounds like bullshit. They will take anybody with a pulse around here. A couple of places close down early occasionally because they can't find enough help.
