Comic book movies destroyed cinema

The 90s was just one banger after another (Shawshank, Titanic, Braveheart, Forrest Gump, etc...). When Hollywood fully understood that movies were art. The comic book movies started in the early 2000s and they just kept ramping up. They're mostly slop that follow the same formula and don't hit you hard in the feels like most of the 90s movies did. All of the bangers of the 90s just slowly started waning when the comic book movies came on the scene. Now you'll just get a good movie every now and then like Bohemian Rhapsody, Tron Legacy or Top Gun Maverick that remind you of the 90s.

Comic book movies killed off the action flick genre of the 80s/90s.

And we also don't have nearly the amount of action stars like the 80s/90s.

It's like they don't make movies for men anymore.
