do you feel you've gotten more or less or neutral re: racism post-COVID19?

I feel like I've gotten more because it seems overall more people are less social and so you don't see many blacks around as you did before 2020. Of course I don't mean going to areas they frequent or Houston Rodeos or live in Atlanta or something. I mean the general day-to-day interactions of most people between each other are less. Partially due to delivery services in all forms (food, goods, etc.) that have reduced the need to put yourself in situations where your prior prejudices might be slightly-checked (up or downwards) on a daily basis.

To me it honestly seems when I encounter the black in public it will lean towards a negative interaction/observation. "Whachu mean ob-fucking-servation?" I mean less decorum in public possibly initiated by less interactions by everyone; that you can kinda make a judgement-call as being negative from afar. That is I guess, people being more demanding because postCOVID, you're kinda used to getting concierge treatment re: delivery services, apps, etc. so they might tend to act more entitled in public postCOVID.

I dunno maybe this is a shitpost and really its hard to gauge cuz your daily interactions play a huge part in your belief systems. For example, might have a negative experience an Asian restaurant employee and stew in autistic rage but then 10 minutes later be greeted by a friendly Asian florist or something IF you live in NYC or something; neutralizing any racism. The rest of the country seems pretty holed-up though.

Thoughts or negs appreciated!

btw: just curious ...do any of y'all still have 24hr large grocery stores open pre-COVID? Its crazy that used to be a thing. It was great shopping for random items/cravings in the middle of the night. Now 10pm cutoffs.

I don't know if I've become more racist cuz 1) obvious reasons 2) less interactions post COVID 3) I'm completely wrong and somehow missing something ....all relative to POST COVID not preconceptions of whatever you thought anyway....talking about a shift.

I believe most people who are the "privileged" ones become slightly more racist as they grow older and realize that certain groups have tendencies towards particular behavior

The "oppressed" ones probably get less racist as they age and realize that straight white men were never the real problem

In Canada there was a lot of racism towards east Indians. But since most have been sent back, diploma mill colleges have been shut down or capped for international students things have normalized for the most part. I don't see any racism towards any other races though.

Sort of yeah, but I can't blame them for wanting a better life. They made rental units and entry level jobs basically non-existent for actual Canadians.

I know I'm asking more than can be answered in a post, but what was the perception pre mass immigration vs post I dunno past 5-10 years whatever (I don't pay attention to canada like y'know the entire world)? its really strange to me that they decided to opent their doors to immigration but chose one country in particular for like 60 percent of it or more. yeah...maybe backhand deals via the homo prime minister now that singer's beard....justin trudeau.

Businesses wanted them for cheap labor and colleges wanted them for the inflated international tuition fees. The government just seen it as a way to grow the country and it backfired is the best way to sum it up. Conservative party wanted to continue bringing them in too so it wasn't just a Liberal issue.

I've become a bit more racist since COVID. Basically, I just got really fed up with having dumbass black people shoved down my throad in pop culture and then my black friends started getting aggressive and having massive egos. Realized I wasn't going to tolerate that shit.

yeah this is what i was getting at. aside from BLM riots etc i think more people are racist specifically due to COVID. its like COVID caused so many people to break out of their rhythm and the policies in of themselves made people more safety-oriented that people started putting 2 and 2 together about muh racism.
