What do you think of this truealpha mansion in Beverly Hills

was watching an Elvis doc the other day as i'm a huge fan and the narrator made an interesting point that Elvis' house interior of GRACELAND only looked silly cuz you rarely see a non-homo male design perspective. I'm sure all of you like me envisioned as a child living in a house with a ferrari or motorcycle in the living room but grew out of it.

i don't we grew out of it but so much of design is catered to women's pref & tastes that male dominated spaces are rare. and often anything designed for men goes over the top testosterone (aka the extreme version of homo aka the other side of the twink coin).

I thought about this mansion I read about years ago. googled and it and coincidentally its in the same small enclave where Elvis lived, trousdale estates.

Not enough pics but not a huge fan of the brutalist aesthetic for a home.

I think a home should be well thought out to maximize the pleasure of the surrounding environment and should also be welcoming and comfortable.

Anyone else getting Millennium Falcon vibes when looking at that house design.



I actually quite like the house. I like the fortress like look to the place. Better that than those places which seem to be 80% glass, and just scream out to potential thieves "look at all the cool shit I have to steal"

defo something that takes a while to get used to but bet youd start to really love it.

thing is I think most are getting caught up on the interior design. you could easily make this thing much liveable with plants, art, a lot of soft sofas, colorful things, wood furniture, etc.

it sold for 68m and the guy bought the first house for 13M and made his own. the costs to make it musta been high but doubt he lost money on deal.

Surprised at the missed opportunity for a green roof. That place would be infinitely cooler if the roof and central roundabout/courtyard were properly landscaped. I would grow hot peppers.

A true alphas home is a home stead. Minimum of 7 kids, gotta have pigs, chickens and goats and a big veggie patch. A stocked pond too

This is what I'm saying, what a missed opportunity for an attempt at urban homestead by turning the courtyard and roof/yard into productive and self/sustaining features.

I also don't like giant homes. I've visited several and stayed in one for few days. It's just weird having areas so far away from each other in the same home

Enormous sprawling homes or properties have always held a fascination for me. Like those huge farms in Australia, some of which are the same size as small countries. Or those hulking European palaces which are the size of a town.

I realize that they would be impractical to live in though if I were living there alone. There would be whole sections which might fall into disrepair. Or squatters could move into a distance part of the palace and you would probably never know, unless you had a good security system.

If I could afford any home that I could maintain and design , at a minimum I’d go with 5K sq ft , and double that for the garage .
I live in a pos 870sq ft home now and drives me fking bonkers .
