What’s the most you’ve ever bench pressed, versus what you can bench right now?

At my peak in 2017, I could bench 225 for 2 repetitions. Now, I can only bench about 135 for 10 repetitions

What about you?

My best ever bloatmaxxed was 270 for 5, at a lean bodyweight was 225 for 7.

I havent lifted in a long time, I could probably do a set with 135.

Have 335 @ 182lbs on video and in comp, never hit that treefiddy and never will at this point.

Could probably get an ugly 315 if I wanted to fuck up my elbows for weeks.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

285 2 weeks ago. But the winter lean bulk is coming to an end so 300 will have to wait I guess. 255 4x5 yesterday. Rarely try for a 1RM due to lifting solo in my home gym.

Maybe try some consistent rep comparisons

Right now I'm at my peak, 315 for a clean triple; Not the most impressive considering my bw, but I'm pushing for an eventual 3.50 plates

Vs now

105 lb DBs for 8 reps
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

275 -1 in my late 40’s . Was doing 225-5 to 6 reps any day of the week . After 3.5 years off I started up back in May of last year and by September was benching 225-2 .
All I wanted was to bench 225 when I hit 65 years old , as I don’t think statistically there are many senior citizens hitting 225 lol.
Unfortunately my tendonitis went for chit when I removed my old concrete and brick chimney last October, and now I can’t bench literally anything.
Maybe next year

Only ever pushed to 315 once, elbows felt it days later despite moving easily

Last flat bench before moving off of volume to Blood and Guts was 225 for 4x8

Incline bench only now

275 is the most I've have done for a single.

I haven't tested for a while but I'm confident I could get 240. 250 would be a 50/50 proposition. I can maintain 240 to 250 pretty easily, but effort it takes to get my max higher goes up really fast.

I had this really strong day where I got 225-9 . Only did that once and have no idea why I had so much extra strength. As a matter of fact the first two reps felt like I was benching literally nothing , very strange look .

Anyways I tried 315 and nope . I believe if I hadn’t burnt myself out with a bunch of sets that day that I would have gotten 300 though .
I did a 280 but don’t even count it , as my form was terrible with my butt off the bench . I could do 275 clean , so I count that

2023 I did my last meet. Raw and drug free and under 198 lbs.

364 bench
495 SQ
495 DL

I was in the 50-59 masters group. (I was 56 and weighed in at 191).
Today, i still pull and SQ that easily, but cannot go over 225 bench until healed (bad tear). But at this point, why bother? Turning 60 in June.

Bloodwork numbers and sex 'volume', thats what matters...

All time max was 275. Right now probably 225. Been sick as fuk so I'm slowly building back up. Gonna start bulking again once I get my life back in check and try and hit the holy 3 plates.

I hit 3 plates at 25, I'm 51 now and have not maxed out since my 20's. I do 5 sets of 185 x 15 to start push day, hurt my shoulder 2 years ago and decided to go low weight high reps since I'm fucking old now
