What do you think the future looks like when AI can perform the majority of jobs today?

Do you think there will be new jobs opening up?

Or there's permanent lord and serf classes determined by who was financially indpeendent when jobs went away?

Or maybe a small group of people will use AI to take over?

Or AI will kill us all?

Or we get AI utopia with post-scarcity?

Or something else? What do you think?

UBI will eventually be a thing worldwide, it's coming within the next ten years. All it takes is one country to implement it and several others will follow suit.

In terms of the world, certain industries will be done for. Real estate, lawyers, accountants, writers etc for sure. Things that require hands on work like construction will still operate because physical labor will be needed. But the design and planning stuff will mostly be AI.

I think one of the biggest changes will be division of society. Once the younger generation gets older they will be used to interacting with AI and have embraced it, but the older generation who still interacted with real people will probably skew away from wanting to use it and move towards biasing towards real humans.
