What movies do you think had the most accurate depictions of the future? (srs)
inb4 Idiocracy
I think it's a combination of "Ready Player 1" and "Wall-E" since those movies just took existing trends and extrapolated them. Wall-E is 18 years old and so far it doesn't seem like we've changed course one bit (except for the invention of Ozempic)
Massive inequality (it's implied most humans were left behind to die on Earth in Wall-E)
Ever greater focus on digital entertainment while machines do everything for us
environmental destruction

I don't know. Growing up I thought by now we would have actual hovaboards and flying cars but instead he have men in dresses arguing the earth is flat.
The blade runner thing is a trip. Im not sure what the long term effects would be of AI being able to study someone over a long time and when they die you have a virtual version of them, but you know it's really not them? I downloaded this app called Furever where you send pics of your dog that has died and then it sends you random pictures of your dog in this heaven like place and the crazy part is that they got her too good and it's things Sara would probably do. I'd love to think Sara is in some type of heaven like world waiting on me and somehow this app sees that but I know it doesn't. I felt bad deleting it because this part of my mind thought "what if this is a window to her" but I know it's not. The AI now you can tell, but down the line, it's going to get too good.
What if down the line AI and robotics gets so good we just interact with machines that have been conditioned to be exactly what we want?
Anyways, hoping Terminator 2 becomes real. SRS

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
