Looksmaxxing originated on the misc over a decade ago.

This isn’t some sort of new zoomer trend.

Just watched the video and he’s clearly joking and it’s meant to be satire.

Looksmaxxing is a pragmatic endeavour. Anyone who denies the importance of good looks is a massive coper. Better looks = better life. It’s not even debatable.

There is also honour in it imo. Me not being blessed with good genetics and refusing to accept that and fighting against it is better than acceptance or defeat.

I wish I didn’t have to looksmaxx and was naturally good looking but these are the cards I was dealt.

Good diet and exercise should be about the extent of it, with few exceptions. I'd say getting teeth fixed and hair loss prevention are about as far as I'd go, the rest (leg lengthening, botox, facial surgeries, synthol injections) is lunacy and likely a waste of money. Imagine doing everything you can to hide your true genetics from a HBB who wants kids with you.

I like to make decisions on a given day's diet and exercise based on: "Is this a healthy idea?" or "Can I afford this setback today?" But that should be the extent of it. Obsessing around following these looksmax influencers, developing hatred for women, judging anyone who doesn't prioritize their own looks like looksmaxcels do, etc. Is total garbage.

I think it’s natural to want more. Sure maybe they’re competitive but they still aren’t living the life of the top 10 percent.

I’m hardcore balding (almost doctor Phil level) and I get super jelly and angry when I see guys with full heads of hair srs. So I can relate to someone wanting to improve their looks by any means necessary.

I can control it. I got a hair transplant about a month and an half ago. Because I’m a “looksmaxxer.”

And honestly from experience the way you are treated as a balding guy vs a guy with hair is drastic. In a previous life when I was younger with hair girls would hit on me, everything I said was hilarious, I would get comments like “he’s so hot.”

Now it’s like I’m invisible and have to jestermaxx for any attention.

Unless you’ve lived both lives you can’t really comment on someone wanting to improve their looks because you truly don’t know how important they are without lived experience as an ugly and attractive man.

That’s the thing. I have to put in effort and have a personality and confidence now. Before it was effortless and girls came on to me.

Invisible means no female attention. It doesn’t mean you can’t get laid with some effort.
