I remember being in Miami and going through a bad neighborhood all black.

It looked like it was a warzone. All teens running around shirtless. It was so wild because they'd just stare at your car as you drove by. It was horrible horrible neighborhood. I mean terrifying esp with everything being washed-out from the Sun.

There was gangs in my middle school but I mean they weren’t anyone to take serious and just stole shit I know rappers from my childhood and wonder what they where talking about cause we hung out at the same places outside of school for the most part In volusia county anyway

My highschool was pretty good. There were lots of blacks but they were like middle class blacks, the neighborhood there was black but a nicer neighborhood. I went to the nerd stem magnet program. They also had ESL program, a ton of Vietnamese kids for whatever reason, and some random eastern Europeans like albanians and armanians but the Europeans could speak English fine they just stayed in ESL because it was easier


My middle school was pretty ghetto. They bused black kids in from the ghetto. Some of the white kids from the neighborhood were troublemakers too. It was in a middle class white neighborhood. Not rich these are like 1200.sqft 2-3 bedroom 1960s houses. People today bert stare at me when I tell them stories of the kids having to be pulled out of class by the school police officer. They think I'm exaggerating or being racist. Like they would interrupt the entire class and the teacher tells them to leave and they refuse and curse at her. Poor miss mulligans she got it all the time. " Fuck you bitch I ain't gonna do sheit" sometimes they would leave if an assistant principal came but sometimes they would tell them "fuck you bitch" but the cop they always listened to because he would just mace the kids he didn't play around. There was a fat black girl forget her name and Charlie the drug dealer had dreads and wrinkled up cash in his pocket. These are 13 year olds.

When there were fights the cop doesn't try to jump in the middle of it he just maces both kids so they stop.

People I meet from like northeast or whatever that didn't have integrated busing bert stare at me when I tell them these stories

There were some that claimed to be in gangs in my middle school. IDK if they really were or their older brothers were

West Palm was a bit treachorous – went there my 1 st yr in College, 93/94. Hood areas seemed just a street over from normal streets with banks and stuff. Not sure if any better today. Me and a buddy drove into the wrong hood after a night out – struggled to quickly turn a shit car around as a whole group started running after our car, lol.

High School in the early 80's, we only had one black kid. A very good dude from a strong family.

I went to a posh boarding school and the only black guy in our year was a trouble maker and bully. He came to the school and immediately started mouthing off at teachers and insulting people. Didn't stay for that long.

Maybe it was some kind of defense mechanism as he thought he would get bullied himself (which he wouldn't have done).
