Your central nervous system will tell you that you are dying.

It is important to understand you are not dying.

I’m honestly doing it right now.

I got a hair transplant, left the city and now live in a lake house away from civilization.

I plan on reentering society once the transplant grows in.

But I’m really enjoying this period of my life. It’s been very peaceful and I’ve managed to quit drinking, nicotine, Pepsi and caffeine.

I can’t see myself going back to the degenerate party lifestyle once I reenter society.

The last year of my marriage was pretty rough, but once the papers were signed and the dust settled, I got a new job in a new town making more money than I was previously. The new job was good, I was happy in my new little shithole apartment, loved the new town I was in, made new friends, started dating again, partied a lot, and it was just a really really cool time in my life. :)
It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

I have done so a few times to where I let it all go and fuk shit up on purpose to rebuild. Quit jobs without notice, abandon apartments and crap roomates and go no contact on douchey friends and family.

My favorite part has alwyas been to buy a bunch of supplies on credit and live on credit and stuff and then bankrupt it all, or at least figure out how to fight off all the lawsuits.

It's empowering to be disobedient to your Corporate and Banker masters and do what's in your best instrests instead, becasue fuk all of them, that's why.

I had a friend with cancer who did that.. Got himself an assload of new credit cards, traveled, bought expensive toys, hired escorts, ate in expensive restaurants and completely lived it up during his last year lol.

I guess the closest thing I ever had was age 27 being stalled in my career and tired of living at home but not really able to afford to buy a home, I got a CDL and just went over the road driving around for about 2 years. About cut ties with so many people I used to talk to all of the time. Was good, change of scenery daily, doing something totally different, and often being away people in your circle fade out and that's a good thing, while the real one's show up more.

If you "press the reset button", u might feel better for an hour but you'll be right back to who u were.

The true way to reset urself is to start doing productive shit that will make u better. Just start with something small like if u eat slop every meal, try to cook one healthy meal per day from scratch. Take regular walks. Or if ur balding, start delivering doordash and make it ur hair transplant fund.

You will bust out of ur depression eventually. And ur finna thank urself for doing long-term productive shit while u were depressed.

Yeah but habit change has a lot to do with your environment.

Let’s say you’re a drinker and want to quit, you can have all the willpower and mental strength in the world but if you’re hanging around in bars every weekend with a bunch of drinkers it’s going to be very hard to break that habit.

Sometimes a reset means not only changing your environment but cutting off people who don’t share the same values or goals as you. Means losing friends srs … which is very sad but necessary.

I completely agree, it doesn't make sense for me to potentially be making like 300k a year if I'm living with my sister and having dogs shit on my floor if I leave the door open, the option to have the job will still be there in the future when things change.
