Throw a 2" lift and some 33s on that bitch.

You will have a capable off roader that gets 25mpg and runs forever.

Looks great but remember there can be issues with older cars.

A 25-year-old car can look great on the outside and still have a lot going on underneath. Age matters just as much as mileage, sometimes more. Here are the main trouble spots you should expect:
1. Rubber and plastic degradation
Anything made of rubber or plastic dries out over time—hoses, belts, seals, gaskets, bushings. Even if the car wasn’t driven much, these parts can crack or leak just from sitting.
2. Fluid breakdown and contamination
Old cars often have fluids that were never changed regularly. Oil, coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid can degrade, absorb moisture, or sludge up, leading to internal wear or corrosion.
3. Fuel system issues
Gas sitting for long periods can gum up injectors, fuel pumps, and lines. You might see rough idling, poor acceleration, or starting problems.
4. Electrical problems
Wiring insulation becomes brittle, connectors corrode, and grounds weaken. Expect things like intermittent lights, sensor issues, or random warning lights.
5. Suspension wear (even with low miles)
Bushings, shocks, and mounts wear out with age, not just use. The car may feel loose, creaky, or less stable even if mileage is low.
6. Brake system deterioration
Brake lines can corrode internally, calipers can seize, and rubber brake hoses can crack. Low use can actually make this worse.
7. Engine seals and leaks
Engines that sit a lot often develop oil leaks because seals dry out. Once you start driving regularly again, leaks can show up quickly.
8. Cooling system failures
Radiators, water pumps, and thermostats may fail due to age. Plastic radiator components are especially prone to cracking.

I wrote some points out and just ran it thru ChatGPT to clean up my poor writing skills.

I've owned a couple cars for 10+ years and a lot of the problems aren't the engine. It's a lot of things you don't see that become more than nickel and diming.

Just throwing it out there. I mean, it looks like a great deal though

This is true it would be good to see if they have maintenance records of fluid changes.

If the car was really maintained that immaculate then that same type of person would have maintenance records. Or its been repainted in the last few years and a thorough detail.

The crevice area up by the top of the hatch is super clean that is hard to do someone has intentionally cleaned all that.

yeah also true, especially a honda engine from that era is probably fine and oil change is the easy thing to do but how many people are doing brake flushes on schedule. power steering, transmission, coolant ect
