Cambridge, MA: Gunman shooting at passing cars on Memorial Drive

Wild footage. State Police shot him and he is now in custody





There is a massive police response on Memorial Drive in Cambridge after witnesses say a man with a long gun opened fire on passing cars before he was shot by a responding Massachusetts State Police trooper on Monday afternoon.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of River Street. The Cambridge Police Department said they received 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area. Police said there is no ongoing danger to the public.

According to I-Team sources, the gunman is 46-year-old Tyler Brown. In 2020, Brown was charged with attempting to kill Boston Police officers.

Poor trooper had to try to reason with the guy first. I think there were around 20 shots before he finally shot him. It's been on the local news for hours...

Apparently, this guy was arrested in 2020 for shooting at a cop. Dude needs to be put down like a dog

Another violent criminal who should have still been locked up. It makes me rage when these low-lives get light sentences for serious violent crimes, then come out prison and go straight back to committing crime and hurting people.
