I remember when you'd post a thread and it was already on the second or third page of the forum within seconds

Because literally dozens of new threads were being made every single second

Not to mention all the threads with 20+ pages of replies

Now you make a thread and you come back later in the day and it's still on the first page

And very few threads make it past 2 pages of replies

It was difficult to keep up during peak Misc

Now it's more calm and relaxed

I think 2015ish was the best misc it was still fast just not as fast as previous years.

I like this forum a lot but the feeling on forums in general was way better back then. It seemed like they were really lively and there were so many, plus it was a free for all

Now it seems like everyone is worried about feds or getting shut down, plus forums are nearly dead, and people are jaded. There's not much new energy because younger people chose social media over forums. The only lively forums for new users are incel forums since younger dudes are mostly low test incels, and young females are all on social media and slooting sites

It's a different time but this is as close to old Misc as we will ever have again
