i am Canadian and let me tell you, there are Indians everywhere, so i can speak from experience. they are nice people, they work hard, and they don't commit crimes, which is definitely better than some other folks out there (no racist).

the Indians i have met all smelled fine. a few of them use too much cologne, but it's not a bad smell at all, it's just a little overwhelming with the fragrances.

i can give you an example - today i went on a walk outside, and i saw many Indians walking. every Indian that i walked by smelled nice. one handsome gentleman in particular had a very refreshing smell, like clean laundry smell (no homo).

also i walked by an Indian household and they were playing lively Indian music. although it was a bit loud, it sounded great, and it made me feel like i was at an Indian festival in Mumbai or something. it made me feel happy and nostalgic. i bet they had a very nice party inside with all the family and friends gathered together. as you know, Indians have large families and they believe in sticking together, unlike typical Canadians/Americans.

Indians must have a strong stomach consider all that contaminated food they eat every day.

i frequent a few places with a dense indian and pakistani crowd, don't smell anything besides heavy seasoning srs

If you eat a bunch of food with curry in it, your sweat will smell like curry a couple days later (ded fkin srs).

I learned this when I spent an entire weekend eating Indian food (tons of leftovers) and went to the gym Monday afternoon.

I've thought about it and I'm guessin that the ingredients in their food (specifically the underlying spice of curry which is curcumin and turmeric) as well as onions, garlic, etc. are very very similar to the general olafactory properties of sweat/BO.

so the foodstuff almost exaggerates that specific set of odours. I mean onions smell pretty funky on their own. obvsly not bathing further exaggerates the smell BUT the rub is you can't overpower it with scents or it will smell even worse aka stronger. ive noticed Africans do this by wearing extremely heavy-perfumes and although not a "bad" smell its an overpowering one (aka offensive).

coincidentally, asians (orientals) also smell a very specific way but not sure why/what the reason is.
