love ur attitude and the intensity u put in ur workouts

can i guess u do high volume short rest periods keeping the weight fairly low ?

any nagging injuries if so how do u workaround them ?
I put effort in all my threads srs

Yes. As I’ve gotten older, the priority has certainly shifted away from heavier weights, and more into increased frequency and volume.

And in terms of short rest periods, it kind of depends on who I’m lifting with. The guy in today’s video, yes, we move quick. Back to back to back. Essentially no rest. Today, for example, we did 27 working sets in about 35-40 minutes. We did BB Rows with 185 pounds for sets of 12’ish as an example. If we were taking long rest breaks, we maybe could’ve done 225 for sets of 6 to 8? Maybe a little more?

With the other guy in some of my other videos, we don’t move nearly as fast because I can’t get his ass to move. Lol. Same workout would take us an hour and 15 probably.

But I usually have two days where somebody comes to join me, and then I do four workouts per week by myself pretty much anyway. When I’m by myself, it’s somewhere in between. I’m not exactly rushing between Seth, but I’m not lollygagging either.

i've discovered for myself that i can do high frequency high volume low intensity AND the opposite which is high intensity lower frequency low volume but i can no longer mix the two ..

the high frequency high volume is faster and it leaves me feeling pretty good after however the high intensity lower frequency low volume give me that feeling of actually having trained but it is really fatiguing i'm assuming it's CSN but still ..

rippetoe says old guys should do low freq high intensity and i will say he has a point but i still do majority of training with low weight high volume

He may be right. But that’s not fun for me anymore.

I put in my time under heavy barbells for years.

Now I’m doing keeps me excited today. 💪🏼💪🏼
