Two U.S. Navy jets collided mid-air and exploded during Idaho Air Show




Two jets crashed in midair at an air show in Idaho on Sunday — but all four crew members were able to safely eject, according to reports.

The two aircraft were taking part in the Gunfighters Air Show at the Mountain Home Air Force Base, some 50 miles southeast of Boise, when they crashed, KTVB reported.

Pictures from the scene show a huge plume of black smoke pouring into the sky following the crash, which happened on the second day of the air show.

“We had four good parachutes. The crews were able to eject,” an air show announcer told the crowd, according to the Idaho Statesman.

“They’re located one mile south of where the smoke is. The parachutes came down,” the announcer continued.

“Crash fire rescue and various other emergency services are on their way to the pilots and crew. There were four good parachutes,” the announcer said in a later statement.

Seriously, that's embarrassing. They were EA-18G Prowlers with pricing up to $125 million each.

At least all 4 were able to eject safely.

Seen this earlier . Craziest thing I’ve seen in a long time . Thankfully the cockpits were facing the other way when they had to eject , as they weren’t far off the ground

Someone mentioned there was a female pilot , so now it’s making sense . I hope the media releases the true identity of the pilots




What a rookie move tbh . They’re definitely no Blue Angles that’s for sure . From this angle it looks nearly impossible to fk this up
