When it is well document it increases HGH, extends your life, and reduces your grocery bill.
I tried to convince my wife this morning to join me fasting until evening and skipping breakfast and lunch, explained her the benefits. She was just like "nah" and grabbed a banana for the road. Wtf

I've done a few multiple day fasts. The first one I ever did was 72 hours I think, and I ate at least a pound of cheese with tostadas and hot sauce, plus a bunch of other things to break my fast. I learned the hard way to ease into eating again. My torso had this weird pain for a few hours and it wasn't comfortable.

After my 72 hour fast I ate a huge plate of jollof rice with goat
No side effects, just that my usual back pain came back

in 2024 I started not eating breakfast until afternoon, sometimes I only eat between 5pm and 8pm, and go to bed.
It gets pretty easy once your body adjusts to simply not eating food until dinner time...
it helps to have ZERO calories until then, so all liquid must be sugar free or no milk in coffee etc.

Now that we have all our humble bragging out of the way, can we get on topic? Namely, how it is mindblowing how the average person does not entertain the idea of implementing IF even after you explain them the proven benefits

I do it a lot without even trying
It's convenient. I skip breakfast and lunch all the time
I like not having to bring lunch to work or eat the got slop that is close by
What is funny is everyones reaction, they act like I'm going to die or something if I don't eat for 10 hours. Usually they are shocked and occasionally some boomer will tell me I am going to wreck my metabolism, yeah like hunter gatherers ate on the dot every 4 hours.
It's not that big of deal but they are so dramatic about it

Anyways I was all happy at 3 am . I checked my blood sugar and it went down to 6.8 . Then I get up right now thinking I should be lower yet , but I get a reading of 9.6?
I’m heading out for a walk soon and feeling pretty good . As a matter of fact I wasn’t hungry whatsoever when I got up , and just took my magnesium, potassium and some sea salt .
If I make it till 9 pm tonight that will be 48 hours , but that’s not a good time to eat so dunno .
Maybe I’ll eat late afternoon and call it a day . As good as I feel I just noticed I got a little light headed as I moved my head too quickly, but otherwise I’m feeling half decent .

High morning blood sugar is primarily caused by the dawn phenomenon,
a natural surge of counter-regulatory hormones like cortisol and growth
hormone between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. that signals the liver to release
glucose for energy. In individuals with diabetes, the body often lacks sufficient insulin or is too
insulin-resistant to counteract this rise, resulting in elevated fastingglucose levels.

I do this but with alcohol. No beer for 16 hours everyday then as much as i want in an 8 hour window. Sometimes the 8 hour window turns into 72 hours though.

I think the problem is it’s not a great idea to over do anything while you’re in this weak state
