We're entering that time of year when it's a lot harder to get business done

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend, then Juneteenth is on June 19th(which is another 3 day weekend) and then July 4th(which actually falls on a Saturday this year so won't be as disruptive as usual).

Tons of people taking time off from work, and business deals you have going on are almost certain to take 2-3x the amount of time expected. Due to early Memorial Day and weekend July 4th, this year won't be as disruptive as usual, but it's still a fucking nightmare.

Enough of these bullshit holidays. Just let people take time off when they want. Not all at the same fucking time.

I want to take 3-5 years off from work and really get rested and catch up on the life I missed workcelling so hard for all these years

Last year I had a pto day in June and as I was driving somewhere around 1pm I noticed literally everyone had their still full garbage pails out at the curb, turns out it was Juneteenth and it should have been garbage day but since it was a “holiday” there was no garbage pickup, and literally every single house that I passed had no idea it was Juneteenth and had their pails out (my own house included)

Was pretty lulzy

Yeah I'll admit that Juneteenth is the least observed of these holidays, but the type of people looking for any excuse to go on vacation will still use it as a reason to get away for 4 days. Juneteenth is basically a bum holiday, but you still can't go to a bank or Title Company and it's something that messes your shit up.

Yeah, I used to go away on vacation the day after Thanksgiving through January. Surprisingly wasn't actually that disruptive to my career until I started coming back in March.
