Over here with medical things you usually visit a general health center, but if have a specific problem they can't help you with they are supposed to write a referral to a specialist. Thing is, many doctors are very stingy about doing this for some strange reason I have yet to understand. And specialists often times turn you down on their end as well. Had a doctor tell me he had been referring ppl to the only "fatigue" center here for years and they only accepted 1 person so far. So much for swedish welfare etc.


Anyways, this male nurse wouldn't even get referral from his doctor and had seen the problem play out many times, so started an app and got other professionals onboard to help patients get proper referrals done and send out at least. Not sure how it went with the business - just read about it some yrs ago. Hope he made it, even though money was not prime motivator.

Not spite per se but definitely many cases of consultants killing themselves to get to partnership track and then leaving and starting their own consultancy

Then selling their consultancy back to the OG firm for bank once their business reached scale and started stealing business from the OG firm lol
