I had really good grades and test scores in school and I was athlete but I still didn't get into any good colleges. But ok, you don't give up and just keep working hard right? That's what I did and built up a lot of skills in the STEM field I was in except that didn't get me any good jobs.

That's just how it goes in the USA, unless you have diversity points or "connections" aka nepotism, you're in big trouble.

Now to be fair, I did have a 6 figure salary for almost a decade but the amount of work I had to put in for that made it not worth it at all. I'm pretty much over it now as far as working because it's a humiliation ritual and I have enough money saved up to not have to partake anymore.
