To be fair I would say the heavy abuse by R2D2Gorilla is what caused it. He was negging people 3 times in a 24 hour span.

That's pretty excessive and I can understand why people complained even if it is useless internet points

Maria the tranny went from 20k to red in a matter of months that just wouldn't have been possible on OG misc I'd rep a red into the green and it would take 10 high reppers to get him back into the red

that's why i used to troll people on OG misc when someone was like "who made this retard green" and I'd come in and be like twas me - u mad? "i rep reds" was my motto

Now it seems like a waste of a rep they're back to red so quick i'm like wtf is the point in this shit so i just neg reds deeper into the red now

Yeah but that's because 100k was a lot of reps back then. There were a handful of posters with 200k-ish, those were super high reps. Then I think BobbyD was the only one with 600k because he posted on other boards, was mates with a bunch of mods, and took all of that bullshit too seriously (think he pissed his knickers and quit after a rep reset).

Mod reps were 1-2mil so those were both significant and worked as a deterrent/reward to some extent. And would also be a significant hit compared to the average Miscer.

So if you had 100k, the average miscer had like 20-30k reps, a rep from you is adding 100 pts and a neg from each of them is knocking off 10-15?

Now it seems like a bunch of people have 500k, a mil, whatever.

None of it matters mind. It was pointless when the Misc was popular, it's pointless now. Still, saying Negged! and watching someone get pissy is funny as fuck. That's all it was ever good for.

Bobby was a Quest guy and used to give away the bars.

I'd be happy for a rep reset across the board tbh if @allfather wanted to go that route. Would probably solve the issue of people trying to snag legacy high rep accounts. Quality posters would get "high" reps again soon enough. Shit posters will always end up red.
