Just LMAO if you don't own land in 2026

Making this thread before negs come back, because you phaggots need to hear some facts.

AI and robots will take all of our jobs. But land is land and land ownership is a core pillar of society.

The elites fuck with that and they welcome the sorts of commies that will take their land and robots too.

I make good money from work but most of my income goes into acquiring land in shit states. I own close to 200 acres of prime land in West Virginia and am almost ready to retire on it. Winding down my "work" and spending more and more time there each month. I currently work about a week a month, while my land works for me and supplements my already decent income.

If you don't own similar amounts of land in non commie states, you'll be begging Feudal Chadlords like me for a position as a serf in our feifdoms in 10 years. Srs.

Cliffs:

We'll all be landowners or hobos in 10 years boyo.

Mirin. Would love to have some bit of land for small/tiny scale forestry and learning more about that sort of thing. Get materials for woodworking and learning more there as well. Preferably some small lake closeby.

Das it mane. Look at land in the US, hunting land is cheap (I bought a 120 acre farm and then 68 acres of woodland in another county so my stuff's a little spread out, but the hunting land cost near nothing). I am 100% sure you can buy it as a foreigner without a visa or Green card or anything.

The catch is you can't really do a lot with it beyond slap some cabins on there and even if there aren't laws limiting your usage clearing the trees etc. and building on hills/mountains makes doing anything substantial pretty cost prohibitive. But I'm planning to build a couple of cabins eventually I can rent out to hunters/Air BnB.

Camped on it a few times tho. Sleeping on your own land and making fires etc with your own trees is a wonderful thing.

I do wish I had a river or lake. Would've been pretty sweet. But we can't have everything.

Nice, Kenneth.

Makes sense to have something physical as well when most things are just paper assets. Good luck with the cabins.

When it all collapses I'll declare independence and we can finally create Misc Island. Only landlocked and surrounded by inbreds.

The guy I worked with bought two 5 acre parcels for 30K back in 92 . A few years later the prices doubled and he sold the other 5 acres for 30K .
So it basically cost him fk all for the land .
ATM that same 5 acres without anything on it is selling for over 700K , and there’s people lined up to get them

You can buy patches of land in Scotland; £4k for 276 square m. I could buy a patch, then just wheel a caravan in and live off the grid.

If I'd bought a few years earlier I'd have paid half of what I did. But we were looking for a normal house within commuting distance of NYC then.

This land cost me about the same and is the safest investment I've ever made. Srs.

Initially thought I'd fucked up because it has power lines on it and an easement. You don't get paid for those, and can't do anything about them or near them really. But they made it a ton easier to lease a good chunk out as a solar farm. Now I have a set income, with a 2% increase every year to offset inflation (hopefully) for the next few decades. Locked in. Could live around there on that alone if it all went tits up for me.

Leased another significant parcel to a neighboring farm. That's not for much money admittedly, but it's a year to year rolling lease and I do nothing with that land anyway. May as well have someone using/maintaining it and paying me.

But yeah, decent land is the safest investment you can make. Your friend lucked out to a degree, doubling your investment is a win even if it's skyrocketed further down the line. But there's only so much good land. We aren't making more of it. It will always have value.

Wild camping is legal in Scotland so you can kind of rock up and live off grid without spending anything tbf.

Also shit for growing things.

Good amount of maple. The hunting land is full of oak.

I know Nova Scotia has a similar climate to Scotland, just about 5 degrees colder. Hence its name.

The NY land is likely overpriced. Sell it and get extra in KY. Srs.

I was looking at Texas but that's gotten a lot more expensive lately too.

You could buy a small country's worth of soil in Idaho or something as well but the Midwest is pretty pointless.

agree with OP land is the best appreciating asset and they ain’t making anymore of it. Home building prices will go down when 3d printing homes becomes more mainstream and people start doing homes built other ways besides traditional construction like modular homes and barndominiums. Land will always go up. I wish I was more of a landchad but I at least own a small cheap townhome which is hella better than being a rent cuck
