Battlefield 6 Used As Tool For Army Recruitment



We always knew ea was bad with dark patterns but this is a new low. Not even cod or arma has done this

Clownfield hid the raw concrete realities of war and then proceeded to make a military ad recruiting people to join..

That is evil

Arma, a game that shows me the reality of war never asked me to give my flesh irl. Battlefield, an hyper arcadey looney toon shooter did.

All FPS suck now. BF and COD aren't even a shadow of what they used to be. Arma is way too slow and unenjoyable. Only shooter I get any enjoyment out of these days is Insurgency.

Btw if you join the military because a video game ad convinced you to then you are a fucking retard.

Arma ultra hardcore is probably the biggest anti military ad out there

Anyone who plays it will never want to join military ever. It taught me everything about war that it is bullshit And built upon my mindset of Ukraine war

U will actually get a slice of how it feels to be a conscript in Ukraine war. They are modeling the war

It shows the deception of dark patterns in games and it also shows the deception that realism =|= fun cause it’s fun af and terrifying. It’s basically a horror game.

There’s a big push to make military games arcadey not cause “it’s fun”

I have more fun in more casual shooters. My favorite shooters ever were/are COD4, COD WAW, MW2, Battlefield 2/3/4, Bad Company 2, Insurgency and Sandstorm, and Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2. At no point did any of those make me think that I want to join the army or any kind of military operation. Anyone who draws that conclusion based on a video game is fucking retarded.

Games are supposed to be fun. Games =/= reality. That's the whole reason people fucking play games. You're using the same logic as the people who tried to get GTA banned back in the 90s and 2000s because "it would make kids want to do that stuff" or that dumb bitch Greta van Sustren who was trying to ban Looney Tunes for the same reason.

That's a fucking retarded argument to avoid playing a game. Games should be avoided if they are objectively bad or unfun, or if they employ scummy monetization tactics.

Actually I don't play horror games. Maybe some do play horror games to get scared idk. Point is I play casual shooters because they are more fun to me. Arma is unfun to me.

I don't use games to build a gateway to reality. I use games to live out things I definitely can't do in reality or for a sense of competition.

I'm just not dumb enough to think "gee herpa derp this here battlefield game is fun maybe I'd have fun fighting in some of them real wars."
